Hey, hey. It took a few days, but I finally managed to get a basic welcome sticky up and reacquaint myself with the journal format. I'm making my first official blog post both to celebrate officially moving over and to assure everyone that I'll be sticking around a while yet. I didn't make this account just to hop ship after a day or two.

I'm thinking of kicking things off fanworks-wise with a basic icon post, inspired by the fact that there is (tragically) a lack of icons for Homestuck's Davepetasprite. I'm also riding the wave of excitement generated by the recent Kingdom Hearts III intro trailer and will likely be making a few from the video to share the love.

Is anyone else really liking the new opening? Personally, the song didn't click with me the first time I heard it, but after watching it an additional fifteen times, I've come to love it. It appears to break off at the part where it's about to pick up, so that combined with the fact that I want to see the correct ordering of the cinematics means I'm eagerly awaiting the full cut.

This is all to say that Homestuck and KHIII icons are incoming, so if you have any specific requests, let me know.

Welcome! I'd guess that Davepeta was introduced so late that the LJ/DW crowd didn't really do much for them. I love seeing a resurgence of icon-making communities.

Thank you for the welcome! You're definitely right regarding Davepeta. I'm kind of sad the later portions of the comic never got the old-school LJ fandom treatment the earlier ones did, but hey, better late than never. Someone someday might need a 100x100 icon of Davepeta's wonderfully obnoxious color flashes.

I'm hoping that the fandom moving back here will breathe life into some of these spaces. I've missed LJ/DW style fandom.
